I’m not a genie customer. How can I apply for a loan?
If you're not a genie customer, simply download the Genie app and register. Once registered, you can apply for a loan by clicking on the loan icon.

I don’t have a Genie savings account. Can I still apply for a Lesi Pay loan?
Yes! When you apply for a Lesi Pay loan, a Genie digital account will be automatically created for you during the application process.
If I’m eligible for the Club Vision discount scheme, can I use the discount to purchase a device through Lesi Pay?
No, the Club Vision discount scheme cannot be applied to the Lesi Pay installment payment plan.
How can I check if I’m eligible for Lesi Pay?
You can check your eligibility using any of the following methods:

Smartphone users: Download the genie app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and follow the instructions.

Feature phone users: Dial #2020# on your phone and follow the instructions. Note: You will need a smartphone to complete the application process as the feature phone process is not yet available.

Visit a Dialog outlet: Go to your nearest Dialog store with your valid NIC. A device agent will assist you in checking your eligibility.
What details do I need to provide?
To apply for Lesi Pay, you must provide:

A valid ID (NIC, Driving License, or Passport). If using a Passport, a billing proof is required.

Your personal details.

A clear selfie. Your permanent address and contact details. If your current address differs from your NIC address, you must provide an electricity or water bill or a Gramasewaka confirmation. A relative’s contact information for emergencies.
Can I transfer this offer to someone else?
No, this offer is linked to your personal profile and cannot be transferred to anyone else.
How can I check my application status, loan account details, outstanding balance, due date, and payment history?
Log in to the genie app to check your application status, find your loan account number after purchasing the device, view your outstanding balance, due date, and payment history.
What is my loan repayment period and can I extend it?
You can check the repayment period in the genie app. The loan must be repaid within the given period, and it cannot be extended. Late payments will result in additional fines. Your loan details will also be updated in the CRIB (Credit Information Bureau) as it is provided by Dialog Finance PLC.
Do I need to make an upfront payment, and can I increase my loan amount?
Yes, you must pay a mandatory down payment as mentioned in the genie app. The down payment amount is fixed and cannot be reduced. Additionally, the loan amount is fixed and cannot be increased.
How many loans can I get, and can I apply for another after repaying my current one?
You can only have one active device loan at a time. Your eligibility for a new loan depends on your credit rating. Check the genie app for details after settling your existing loan.
Can I get a physical copy of my transaction records?
No, Lesi Pay is a fully digital service. However, you can view your loan statement through the genie app.
Can I set up automatic payments for my installments?
Yes, you can place a standing order, and the installment will be automatically deducted from your DF Savings account on the due date.
How will I know when my loan is fully paid off?
Once you make your final installment, you will receive an SMS confirmation that your loan has been closed.
What happens if I fail to repay my loan?
If your loan becomes overdue, it will negatively affect your credit rating and your future ability to obtain loans.
